Krasnoyarsk is latest Russian region to vow boosting ties with North Korea

The two countries continue expanding exchanges in the wake of April's Kim-Putin summit

North Korea’s acting ambassador to Russia and a top official with the country’s central Krasnoyarsk Region vowed to boost cooperation in a meeting last week, the North’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reported Thursday.

The meeting was held on October 25 in Krasnoyarsk between Jin Jong Hyop, the DPRK Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the Moscow embassy, and the region’s First Deputy Governor Sergey Ponomarenko, according to the MFA.
