North Korea issues new propaganda posters in public campaign against COVID-19

Posters feature masked workers, as state media again casts doubt on vaccines and demands vigilance against new variants

North Korean state media is keeping up a public awareness campaign through new propaganda posters and articles on the dangers of COVID-19 and the potential for new variants to enter the country, after having effectively declared victory last weekend over a nationwide outbreak of the omicron variant.

The Rodong Sinmun reported on Tuesday that foreign pharmaceutical companies are trying to make vaccines to address new variants that may take hold in different regions but that “it is becoming doubtful they will be useful on a global scale.”
