North Korea fires two presumed ballistic missiles toward the East Sea: JCS

Thursday’s launch marks the sixth test in January, the most by North Korea in one calendar month

North Korea fired two presumed short-range ballistic missiles from near the city of Hamhung on the east coast toward the East Sea on Thursday morning, Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed. 

The missiles flew about 118 miles (190 km) at a recorded altitude of 12.4 miles (20 km) following their launch around 8:00 - 8:05 a.m. KST, according to the military.
