US blocks more than $31 million in North Korean assets

Treasury Department reports it froze funds in connection with US sanctions against state sponsors of terrorism

Washington blocked $31.69 million in North Korea-related assets last year in connection with U.S. sanctions against state sponsors of terrorism, the U.S. Treasury Department announced this week.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) under the Treasury Department provided the amount of frozen funds in its Terrorist Assets Report published on Wednesday.
