US shrugs off North Korean accusations of ‘hostile’ duplicity

Pyongyang uncertain whether it should engage or continue stonewalling, say experts

A day after North Korea accosted the U.S. for terminating limits on Seoul’s missile development, the U.S. State Department said the door remains open for talks.

A State Department spokesperson told NK News on Tuesday that Washington is aware of the comments carried by state media the previous day but reiterated its “calibrated, practical approach” to the DPRK.
