“Traitors” and “dogs”: a brief history of North Korean leaflets in the South

North Korea has been sending anti-South leaflets over the border for years, and plans to send millions more very soon

Correction: a previous version of this article said the candlelight protests which outed South Korean President Park Geun-hye took place in October 2017, when in fact they took place in October 2016. It has been corrected to reflect that fact.

Inter-Korean relations are quickly unraveling: North Korea recently pledged to send roughly 12 million propaganda leaflets into the South using carrier balloons and declared inter-Korean relations “dead” over the weekend.
