South Korea requests police investigate activists sending leaflets to the North

Presidential Blue House also vows to continue crackdown on anti-DPRK leaflets

South Korea's government has requested that police investigate two defector-run activist groups, the Ministry of Unification (MOU) said on Thursday, accusing them of breaking multiple laws by continuing to send anti-regime leaflets into North Korea.

Amid mounting inter-Korean tensions over Seoul's failure to prevent the launches, the MOU accused the Fighters for a Free North Korea (FFNK) and Keunsaem activist groups of breaching multiple South Korean laws, including those covering "aviation safety" and "public waters."
