DPRK issues ‘strong warning’ against ‘hostile’ exercises as it launches two short-range ballistic missiles into East Sea

North Korea conducted its first ballistic missile launch in over two months on Thursday evening, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), as the DPRK released a statement condemning joint U.S.-ROK military drills.

JCS said the North separately launched two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) between 7:25 and 7:37 p.m. KST from the Sunan area, where Pyongyang International Airport is located, toward the East Sea (Sea of Japan).
