North Korea the world’s most corrupt country for 3rd straight year: Report

Kim Jong Un’s anti-corruption drives more about securing his own power rather than draining the swamp, expert says

North Korea is the most corrupt country in the world, a nonprofit business association said Tuesday, marking the third year in a row the DPRK has earned the title. 

Trace International ranked the country 194th out of 194 countries in its latest annual report that rates countries based on four key corruption indicators. Of the indicators, North Korea scored the worst in the world for the capacity of civil society oversight and expectations of business-to-government bribes.
