Im Chol Ung becomes a senior cabinet member; railroads important issue for Pyongyang

North Korea appointed a new vice premier, Im Chol Ung (임철웅), on May 22, KCNA reported Thursday.

The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK – North Korea’s rubber-stamp legislature – approved the appointment, which was likely decided upon by senior party officials on an earlier date.
