North Korea slams ‘provocative’ US-ROK drills that Seoul denies took place

Pyongyang accuses ‘enemy’ of firing artillery near border as it ramps up warnings around allies’ spring exercises

The North Korean military accused the “enemy” of conducting artillery drills near the inter-Korean border in a “provocative” way on Tuesday, though Seoul denied the drills took place.

The statement released by state media marked the third time Pyongyang warned of military conflict on Tuesday and came as the U.S. and South Korea hold joint military exercises.
