Prosecutors seek ex-minister’s arrest over North Korea’s killing of official

Former defense chief Suh Wook and ex-coast guard chief accused of abuse of power, forging documents related to 2020 case

South Korean prosecutors are seeking arrest warrants for two former Moon administration officials over their response to North Korea’s killing of an ROK fisheries official two years ago, Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office announced on Tuesday.

Former defense minister Suh Wook and former coast guard commissioner Kim Hong-hee both face charges of abuse of power and forging official documents in relation to the death of  47-year-old Lee Dae-jun in DPRK waters in Sept. 2020.
