Skybay Hotel drops Hyon Song Wol from name of room where senior official stayed as interest in North Korea declines

A large South Korean hotel in the coastal resort city of Gangneung has removed the name of a well-known North Korean official from a VIP suite that she used while staying there ahead of the 2018 Winter Olympics, NK News has confirmed.

Hyon Song Wol, a former member of the Moranbong band who serves as Kim Jong Un’s top logistics official, stayed in the Skybay Hotel in Jan. 2018 with a delegation on a scouting trip for arts performance venues ahead of the PyeongChang Olympics.
