North Korea appears to partially lift COVID-19 lockdowns in regional cities

News broadcasts show people walking and vehicles driving, even as state media continues to push restrictions

North Korean authorities appear to have at least partially lifted COVID-19 lockdowns in several cities across the country, state media coverage of recent heavy rain and flooding indicates.

Korean Central Television (KCTV) broadcasts on June 23 and June 26 about inclement weather showed people walking around and driving vehicles through the streets of Hamhung, Kaesong, Kangye, Nampho and Phyongsong.
