Kim Dong-yub

Kim Dong-yub is an assistant professor at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, Kyungnam University in Seoul. Kim has received Ph.D. in North Korean Studies (Military & Security) at University of North Korean Studies. He lecturers at Kyungnam and Sogang University. His academic interests are North Korean military, North Korean nuclear issue, Northeast Asian security, military negotiation and peace regime. He had a successful twenty-year career in the ROK Navy before retiring as a commander. He holds a B.A. at the Korea Naval Academy and MA in International Relations at Korea National Defense University. Previously, he had served as a North Korea specialist at the Ministry of National Defense taking part in several military talks between North and South Korea.
