North Korean leader demands ‘exponential’ increase to production in line with weapon modernization plans

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected factories producing short-range nuclear missiles, launch vehicles and rocket shells, calling for increased production to arm “frontline units” on the inter-Korean border, according to state media on Monday.

The state-run Voice of Korea (VOK) reported he visited four factories on Aug. 11 and 12: the “Tactical Missile Production Factory” producing short-range nuclear capabilities, the “Tactical Missile Launch Vehicle Production Factory,” “Combat Armored Car Production Factory” and “Large-Caliber Multiple Rocket Launch System Shell Production Factory.”
