US, ROK to conduct largest-ever aerial drills as Seoul emphasizes deterrence

Hundreds of warplanes, including stealth jets, to fly in ‘non-stop’ training to deter and respond to DPRK ‘provocations’

The U.S. and South Korean air forces will conduct their largest-ever joint air drills next week with an assortment of stealth jets and other warplanes, according to the U.S. Air Force on Friday, the latest show of force meant to deter North Korean “provocations.”

Vigilant Storm will run from Monday to Friday and include ROK F-35A and U.S. F-35B stealth jets among 380 aircraft in total from both sides.
