Kim Jong Un says children must join military drills, construct apartments

North Korean leader demands country raise ‘loyalists’ from young age in latest push to improve ideological controls

Young North Korean children and orphans of “revolutionary” families must join live-fire military drills and work at major construction sites in order to become hardened “loyalists” of the ruling party, DPRK leader Kim Jong Un reportedly said in a speech Wednesday.

Kim also said students of “revolutionary schools” must reject foreign influence and go through “difficulties and hardships” that he creates for them so they can be ready to serve in the army and top government posts, the Rodong Sinmun reported Thursday.
