North Korea’s increasing missile launches put planes at risk, US agency warns

Federal Aviation Administration says unannounced tests likely to continue and travel into neighboring airspace

The heightened frequency of North Korean missile tests this year poses a greater risk to aircraft and ships operating in Northeast Asia, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has warned.

Citing North Korea’s unannounced launch of eight ballistic missiles on June 5, the FAA said the absence of warnings contributes to increased risk for pilots in the region.
