North Korea mobilizes army in fight against COVID-19 spread: State media

Six more deaths and over 269,000 ‘fever’ patients also recorded since Sunday

North Korean authorities have mobilized the country’s military to distribute medicine in the capital as fever cases related to an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak continue to rise, state media reported Tuesday.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), an additional six people died nationwide between Sunday and Monday after experiencing “fever,” while the country recorded 269,510 more fever patients in the same period — bringing the total to 1.48 million people since late April.
