North Korea says Seoul ‘crazy’ to talk of preemptive strike on ‘nuclear power’

Kim Yo Jong and military official warn tensions could ignite into war and that Pyongyang rethinking inter-Korean affairs

A North Korean military official has slammed South Korea’s defense minister as “crazy” for mentioning “preemptive strike” capabilities, warning that the DPRK is a “nuclear power” and can “destroy” any major targets in Seoul if needed.

The statement carried in the state-run Rodong Sinmun on Sunday ran alongside another article by the North Korean leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong, in which she labeled the ROK defense minister Suh Wook a “senseless and scum-like guy” and said Pyongyang is “reconsidering” inter-Korean matters.
