Intelligence chiefs of US, ROK and Japan discuss North Korea’s missile launch

During trilateral talks in Seoul, the officials also pledged to strengthen information cooperation

Intelligence chiefs of the U.S., South Korea and Japan discussed North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test and strengthening intelligence sharing in a trilateral meeting in Seoul on Tuesday, according to the ROK’s National Intelligence Service (NIS).

The meeting came after Seoul’s Park Jie-won held bilateral meetings on Monday with both Washington’s Avril Haines and Tokyo’s Hiroaki Takizawa. Park reportedly emphasized the importance of an end-of-war declaration and discussed ways to bring North Korea back to the dialogue table, as well as possible humanitarian assistance.
