North Korea self-reports it’s still COVID-free after declining Sinovac vaccines

World Health Organization says DPRK tested 683 more people as Kim Jong Un stresses tighter epidemic prevention

North Korea has discovered no cases of COVID-19 after testing an additional 683 people, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), as Pyongyang rejected an offer of around 3 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine.

The DPRK administered tests for 101 people with flu-like illness or respiratory infections and 582 health care workers from Aug. 20-26, the WHO said in its weekly situation report published Sunday.
