Japanese defense white paper highlights ‘North Korea’s imminent threat’

DPRK’s 'relentless' pursuit of new weapons requires greater missile defense capabilities, says Japan’s defense ministry

Japan has cautioned that military developments in North Korea continue to “pose grave and imminent threats” to its security, according to Tokyo’s annual defense report released Tuesday.

The 469-page white paper from the Ministry of Defense (MoD) emphasizes that “North Korea already has the ability to attack Japan with nuclear weapons fitted to ballistic missiles.”
