The G7 remarks were notable for reiterating linguistic formulations on North Korean denuclearization that are currently favored by both the U.S. and South Korea, moving away from previous G7 language that called for the complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement (CVID) of the DPRK. Both U.S. President Joe Biden and South Korean President Moon Jae-in attended the G7 summit in the U.K.
