Kim Yo Jong berates South Korean president and calls missile test ‘self defense’

The North Korean leader’s sister called Moon Jae-in a U.S. “parrot” and said the DPRK has a “right to self defense”

The sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un defended Pyongyang’s recent and contentious ballistic missile launch on Tuesday, arguing that her country has a “right to self defense.”

Last week, North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles and declared that it test-fired “newly developed” military technology. The incident was met with outrage in Seoul, Tokyo, Washington and beyond, with South Korean President Moon Jae-in calling the test “undesirable” and U.S. President Joe Biden vowing to “respond accordingly” to any further escalations.
