On Tuesday, WHO said that North Korea reported 8,594 “suspected” cases of the virus as of Nov. 19. It’s unclear how many of these individuals were tested for the coronavirus or quarantined. North Korea reports 8,594 ‘suspected’ COVID-19 cases, zero confirmed infections

North Korea has recorded more than 8,500 “suspected” cases of COVID-19 to date but still claims to have zero cases of COVID-19, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

On Tuesday, WHO said that North Korea reported 8,594 “suspected” cases of the virus as of Nov. 19. It’s unclear how many of these individuals were tested for the coronavirus or quarantined.

The updated numbers mean that 2,421 North Korean citizens were classified as newly-suspected cases during a three-week window between Oct. 29 and Nov. 19.
