North Korean leader Kim Jong Un revisited a small village south of the capital where severe flooding occurred in early August, state media reported on Saturday, Sept. 12, expressing satisfaction with progress on construction of new homes for those displaced by the storms.
Kim's latest visit to the Taechong-ri area of Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province comes just over a month after he first inspected damaged homes and croplands in the same area. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported at the time that 800 new homes would be constructed in time for the Oct. 10 Workers' Party (WPK) 75th foundation day holiday.
