UK issues correction on asset freeze targeting top North Korean official

The change is likely due to a clerical error, but reveals that the UK Treasury is behind on a DPRK official's title

The UK Treasury issued a correction on its list of asset freeze targets related to North Korea late last week, removing a top DPRK military official because of an apparent documentation error.

In a notice dated July 10, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) of the HM Treasury announced that an entry — "Ri Pyong CHOL (Group ID: 13546)" — had been "removed" from the Consolidated List of Financial Sanctions Targets in the UK.
