North Korea expands capacity at nation’s biggest electric plant: KCTV

Completion of project may be linked to Kim Jong Un's New Year's Speech

North Korean state television on Thursday announced the completion of a project to expand generating capacity at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, described in their report as the "nation’s biggest power source".

Hundreds of military personnel and plant workers were pictured attending an opening ceremony led by O Su Yong, chief of the economic department of the DPRK's Central Committee, Korea Central TV (KCTV) showed.
