Enhanced sanctions pass first legislative hurdle, set for Senate vote

The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed new sanctions against North Korea in Washington D.C. on Thursday.

H.R. 1644, or the Korean Interdiction and Modernization of Sanctions Act, passed the house with 419 votes in favor of the legislation and only one vote against it.
