North and South Korea exchange rifle fire

The DPRK fired on balloons carrying anti-North Korea leaflets, prompting return fire from the South

North and South Korea exchanged fire on Friday near the South Korean border town of Yeoncheon, after the DPRK fired on balloons carrying anti-North Korea leaflets, according to Yonhap news agency.

According to an official from the South Korean Joint Chief's of staff,  the gunfire was heard around at 3:55 pm, and at 4:50 pm. After numerous 14.5mm bullets landed in southern territory, the South Koreans returned fire.
