SEOUL – South Korea has accepted a proposal from North Korea to hold talks regarding the resumption of the Kaesong Industrial Complex and Mt. Kumgang tourism zones.

The South Korean Ministry of Unification proposed holding the talks on June 12, in Seoul, although the Northern side has not yet confirmed this.

A similar, but more vague, offer was made by Pyongyang on May 22 proposing an inter-Korean event to celebrate the anniversary of the June 15, 2000 declaration, but was rejected in the South.
