SEOUL – Moscow has denied rumors of a high-level vist from North Korea after rumors circulating the South Korean press were picked up by Japanese media on Monday.

“There are contacts at a working level regarding the two sides’ agenda,” a Russian Foreign Ministry source told Interfax news in Moscow. “No high-level visits are being planned at the moment.”

An anonymous diplomatic source, “familiar with North Korea’s relations with Russia,” told the Kyunghyang newspaper in Seoul that North Korea was considering dispatching another “special envoy” this week, this time to Moscow.
