Update: North Korea has agreed to holding talks in Panmunjom at 1000KST on Sunday morning

SEOUL – South Korea has accepted a North Korean proposal to hold inter-Korean talks on Sunday 9 June, but has suggested holding talks in the inter-Korean Panmunjom area rather than Kaesong, as the North had proposed.

In its original offer, North Korea asked the South to suggest the time and place for talks. South Korea responded by requesting ministerial-level talks on June 12, in Seoul. The North suggested Kaesong as a venue in return; the South rejected and has now proposed talks in Panmunjom.
