North Korea fired one short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) into the East Sea on Wednesday afternoon, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The South Korean military detected that North Korea fired the SRBM from Sukchon in South Phyongan Province at around 3:31 p.m. KST, JCS told reporters.

“North Korea’s repeated ballistic missile launches are grave provocations that harm the peace and stability of not only the Korean Peninsula but also the international community, as well as clear violations of U.N. Security Council resolutions. We strongly condemn them and urge North Korea to stop immediately,” JCS said.
