North Korea tries and fails to launch another projectile: JCS

Test attempt from Pyongyang's Sunan area follows two reported ICBM-related tests from the same spot in recent weeks

North Korea attempted to launch a “ballistic missile” around 9:30 a.m. KST Wednesday but the launch appeared to fail, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The launch effort occurred in Pyongyang’s Sunan area, the same location as two reported intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system tests on Feb. 27 and March 5, which North Korea claimed were part of reconnaissance satellite tests.

An exclusive photo seen by NK News shows projectile debris fell in or near Pyongyang after the failed test on Wednesday morning.
