North Korea says it’s COVID-free after pulling out of Olympics and World Cup 

Latest self-reported data continues DPRK claims of zero positive tests in the country

North Korea has yet again claimed to have zero confirmed COVID-19 cases inside its territory after testing a total of 27,446 persons, according to an updated report from the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday.

North Korea says 726 people were tested during the period from May 7 to May 13, which reportedly included 148 people who had “influenza-like illness and/or severe acute respiratory infections.”

The country self-reports COVID-19 related statistics to the WHO. Like previous recent updates, the new data did not include how many people have been quarantined or released from quarantine in the DPRK after the North
