Russia’s top foreign affairs official called for an end to the “arms race” on the Korean Peninsula after meeting with his South Korean counterpart in Seoul, hours after North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea.

Russian and South Korean foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Chung Eui-yong delivered remarks at a press conference after their meeting on Thursday, which marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
