North Korea blasts Malaysia over extradition order, says US will ‘pay due price’

Pyongyang vowed to cut diplomatic ties with Kuala Lumpur after a DPRK citizen received an extradition order to the US

North Korea said it will cut diplomatic ties with Malaysia after the country decided to extradite a DPRK citizen to the United States, marking what could become the first-ever case of a North Korean standing trial for alleged sanctions-related crimes in the U.S.

The new statement from the DPRK’s foreign ministry, published by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Friday, also declared the U.S. the “principal enemy” of the North Korean state and said that Washington will “pay a due price” for the extradition.
