North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is working hard at the moment “without holidays and birthdays,” state media said over the weekend.

The North’s party daily the Rodong Sinmun on Saturday dedicated the entire front page to a special article (ronsol) celebrating the past eight years of Kim’s leadership.

“From the outset, the revolutionary calendar of our leader… does not have any day-offs, holidays, or birthdays,” the special article under the byline “Chae Chol Ryong” said, lauding Kim Jong Un’s tireless work for the country’s economy, military, and ideology.
