The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will convene a closed-door meeting on Tuesday in New York to discuss North Korea’s recent missile tests, sources told NK News. It will be the second such meeting this month following one held on August 1 at the request of Britain, France, and Germany to discuss how the tests may have violated sanctions resolutions. The three countries were reported to have requested this week’s meeting as well, according to Russia’s TASS News Agency. The U.S., on the other hand, is seeking not to overtly promote UNSC moves at this time due to ongoing © Korea Risk Group. All rights reserved. |
