There are no observable power shortages in the North Korean capital city of Pyongyang, multiple foreign residents told NK News, despite a Friday report claiming “severe electricity shortages” were impacting the city.

The Seoul-based Daily NK reported Friday that a source claimed that “the worsening electricity situation means that the whole city is dark at night” with some days so bad that “electricity is only available for one hour.”
