French Senate administrator Benoît Quennedey has been formally indicted on suspicion of treason for his role in allegedly providing sensitive information to a foreign power, Agence-France Presse and local media reported Thursday.

Quennedey, who also serves as President of the Franco-Korean Friendship Association (AAFC), was arrested last Sunday, with the French General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) searching his Paris residence and his family’s home in Dijon.

Following four days of questioning under detention by the DGSI, Quennedey was indicted Thursday evening for “treason by delivering information to a foreign power,” Le Figaro reported.
