Two aircraft owned by Russia’s Special Flight Detachment are currently in the North Korean capital, a photo of Thursday’s departure board at Pyongyang International Airport obtained by NK News showed.

Though the two planes are likely in-country to support Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov’s ongoing visit to the DPRK, it is unusual for foreign delegations to bring two aircraft to Pyongyang for such trips.

China and the U.S., for example, both sent one aircraft for recent high-level visits to North Korea, reporting showed in April and May.
