A document criticizing China’s “betrayal of socialism” has received international media attention since it was made public on Monday, but some observers have denied its authenticity.

The document was revealed to the public by Professor Lee Young-hwa from Kansai University in Osaka, and reads that North Korea must “punish China” for “turning its back” on socialism, referring to China’s recent approval with the UN’s North Korea sanctions. It also reads that North Korea must no longer have a “fantasy” about China but stand firmly on its own.
