Google Maps products have started obscuring satellite imagery of U.S. and South Korean military bases and the ROK side of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on the North Korean border, according to NK News analysis.

The move fulfills a condition Google must meet in order to export South Korea’s detailed national base map: applying the same security masking of military facilities that Korean law imposes on domestic map services.
