North Korean leader Kim Jong Un toured “several” weapons plants producing small arms, artillery shells and nuclear missiles on Monday, according to state media, calling for modernization and building new factories.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Wednesday that Kim visited a “bullet production factory,” where he laid out plans for making more “high-precision multi-purpose bullets of different calibers, special-function bullets and training bullets.”

It did not name any of the factories or go into detail about each one specifically, but added that Kim wants the munitions industry to “strengthen mortar and howitzer” production.
