North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has promoted his younger sister Kim Yo Jong to lead a party department after years serving as a deputy, according to state media on Tuesday. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) revealed Kim Yo Jong was appointed director of an unspecified department at the first plenary meeting of the new Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee.
