A Russian cargo plane recently delivered 20 caskets carrying the remains of North Korean soldiers who died in the two countries’ joint war against Ukraine, DPRK state TV revealed for the first time Friday in a lengthy program on honoring fallen soldiers.

Korean Central Television (KCTV) aired footage of a previously unreported nighttime ceremony overseen by Kim Jong Un at Pyongyang International Airport on Aug. 1, showing a Russian military Il-76 cargo plane (tail number RF-78661) delivering 20 DPRK flag-draped coffins.
